Back in January, the predictions were bold: AI tutors for everyone, the end of the LMS, VR headsets in every training room. Ten months later, it’s time to check the scorecard.

Every year kicks off with a wave of trend reports telling L&D what’s coming. Some predictions arrive right on schedule, others show up looking very different, and a few never show up at all. In this game-show-style Coffee Chat, we’ll put some of 2026’s biggest predictions on screen and vote together: did they stick, fizzle, or are we still waiting? Then comes the fun part, comparing notes on what actually happened inside our organizations.
