Are you eager to dive into the world of creating engaging and interactive simulations?

👋 Raise your hand if you’re ready to learn something new! ‍👋

Join Christy Tucker for another highly interactive 90-minute workshop where you’ll harness the power of Twine, an intuitive and no-cost tool, to craft a project simulation. This hands-on session is designed to empower you with the skills to weave variables and macros into your simulation, enabling you to monitor pivotal metrics like time, cost, and quality.

Next, prepare to learn about the art of tailoring feedback, ensuring that each decision your users make is met with personalized responses. Then, you’ll also discover how to elevate your simulation with compelling images and enhance its aesthetic appeal, making your project not just functional but visually captivating.

But Christy is not stopping at creation. She’ll guide you through publishing your masterpiece, sharing it with the world, and how to gather insights through feedback. By the workshop’s close, you’ll proudly hold a prototype of a project management simulation, ready to share with your peers.

To ensure you hit the ground running, participants will be provided with a Twine file that’s already partly built, along with a fully completed simulation example for inspiration. Although a brief Twine refresher is part of the agenda, a foundational understanding of Twine will ensure you fully benefit from this session.

If you were part of last year’s LSN on Twine, you’re perfectly poised to take full advantage of this workshop. Get ready to bring your simulations to life in a way that’s both informative and captivating!

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Create and use variables and macros in Twine to track and manipulate aspects of a simulation.

  • Design and implement customized feedback based on the values of points and variables.

  • Add images and improve the visual design of a Twine project.

  • Share and test a Twine simulation, gathering review feedback for improvement.

See you there!
