Think about participants not just sitting through another typical training session but actively engaging, solving real organizational problems, and growing together. That’s the magic of active learning circles!
What is an action learning circle? An action learning circle or set is a structured group process where participants work together to solve real problems that are happening in the organization. Participants reflect on their experiences and learn from each other through this process. Typically, the class is broken into small groups that meet regularly to discuss and tackle the assigned challenge and share insights. This is accomplished through questioning, listening, and collaborative problem-solving, where participants develop ideas and practical skills, making the learning experience dynamic and directly applicable to their work.
In this coffee chat, we will:
- Discuss the concept of active learning sets and how they differ from traditional training methods
- Discuss how action learning circles can improve problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Share practical tips on how to design and implement active learning sets within your programs
- Share your examples and success stories
Grab a coffee and let’s share ideas on how we can incorporate action learning circles into your own curriculum.
